Naman Ballok Jezu, launched 16 years ago, has carved a niche among the Konkani periodicals in South Kanara. We can call it the VOICE of the “Infant Jesus Shrine,” Bikarnakatte, Mangaluru, that draws thousands of devotees every Thursday and particularly during the annual feast on 14th and 15th January each year. It serves as a link with the devotees all over the globe and makes us feel like a family!
I am happy that the web-site is being fully designed new and updated with new features. Now the monthly issues can also be downloaded in PDF formats by readers and this will promote healthy ecology, with the reduction in printing hard copies.
On behalf of the Karnataka-Goa Province I congratulate the present Editor, Rev. Fr Ivan Robert D’Souza who has overseen this project, with the expert help of our confrere, Rev. Fr Stephen Lobo, who has designed it. I cannot forget the previous two editors: Frs Stifan Pereira (who is now the Director of the Infant Jesus Shrine) and Rev. Fr Joseph Cyril D’Souza (Jocy Sidakatte), who have nurtured this magazine and raised it to such heights. We are truly proud of you! Jesus is better known and loved through your dedicated and painstaking efforts to offer quality material for spiritual nourishment month after month on relevant topics that touch our day to day lives.
May the Infant Jesus continue to bless all the devotees and may our ministry at the Infant Jesus Shrine with its various facets become more fruitful in the days to come.
